Okay folks. This is by far the least diplomatic statement Katrina has ever made about Ranbir Kapoor, in public. The smart Kat, who has always found one way or the other to evade questions about her rumoured beau Ranbir Kapoor, found herself tongue tied and on a sticky wicket yesterday at Dhoom 3’s press conference. We gently reminded Katrina of a statement that Ranbir had made in a leading daily about Katrina being a very special person in his life and he being ready to give his life for her. When we sought Katrina’s reaction on the same, the actress blushed and looked at loss for words. Regaining her composure back, Katrina said, “I am ready to give my life to all those needy people.” Now that was as diplomatic as one could get. Not wanting to let go off Katrina so easily, we persisted a bit more and asked her if Ranbir would ever fall in that list of ‘needy’ people. Hearing this, Uday Chopra who was seated next to Katrina, could barely control his exclamation and chuckled. Katrina then replied, “Well, if Ranbir is ever in need, I will be there for him.” Now those are the words of a girl in love. We are sure Ranbir will approve. Earlier in the conference, Katrina as expected was asked about Kareena Kapoor’s decision to dance on Katrina’s popular numbers at hers and Ranbir’s wedding. Katrina took the question in her stride and remarked that the entire statement was made in jest by Kareena. “I am not getting married nor am I engaged. The entire thing was a joke. Everyone who goes on Koffee with Karan pull each other’s legs. I don’t think they were serious. These things are said in jest.” Katrina also revealed that Kareena had taken her prior consent before saying these things so it didn’t come as a surprise to her. But the pretty actress revealed that Kareena saying that she would like to have a gay encounter with Katrina is what shocked her more than the marriage bit. “The romance between me and Kareena was a bigger shock.” Katrina also disclosed after much persuasion that she would dance to the tunes of Besharam at Ranbir’s wedding. But she didn’t admit that she would be the bride at that wedding. On the contrary, Katrina said that she was not intending to get married for the next 20 or 30 years. Oh really now, Katrina. No one believes that statement. P.S – Aamir had his ‘O Teri’ moment when we asked him why he wanted to see Salman and Katrina together and not Ranbir and Katrina. An exasperated Katrina almost immediately remarked, “Now this is getting confusing.” Aamir, meanwhile said, “Why does it seem like I have opened a marriage bureau. Yaar, why isn’t anyone asking me about my marriage? I still have three more left.” Now that had everyone laughing.
