Interesting! B-town couples who worked in movies with their spouses after marriage

MUMBAI: The Bollywood film sets have witnessed the start of several celebrity romances that have culminated in marriage. While many stars found their 'happily ever after' on the sets, only a handful dared to head back together and work on a joint venture.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have spent years filming director Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra', but on Wednesday, the couple headed to the sets, for the first time as husband and wife. The couple was reportedly beaconed back to the sets for some last-minute work on the film before its September release.

Deepika and Ranveer's love story started on the film sets and gave fans a number of blockbuster films. After tying the knot in 2018, they took on Kabir Khan's '83 as their first venture as a married couple. Sadly, the film failed to hit the mark at the box office owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Unlike the other couples on this list, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas gave fans a look at their crackling chemistry in the music video of the song, 'Sucker'. The music video of the track that marked the Jonas Brothers' reunion, also saw fellow "J Sisters" - Danielle Jonas and Sophie Turner- joining in the shenanigans.

After tying the knot, Abhishek and Aishwarya teamed up for Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan'. The film that was a modern-day retelling of the epic tale Ramayana sadly failed to make a mark at the box office and was declared a 'flop'.

It is a known fact that Neetu put her career on the back burner after tying the knot with Rishi Kapoor back in 1980. However, years later, the actress made her comeback to the big screen and even went on to share the frame with her husband in the romantic flick 'Love Aaj Kal'.

After tying the knot, Amitabh and Jaya took on 'Zanjeer' as their first film post marriage. Surprisingly, the film helped Bachchan turn into a superstar and gave him the moniker – ‘the angry young man’. The 1973 action-drama featured Amitabh as Inspector Vijay Khanna and Jaya as Mala. It went on to become a blockbuster at the box office and a Bollywood classic.
