Music director Ismail Darbar who was on the run after allegedly conniving with his son in assaulting Prashant Chaudhary has finally been arrested by the police. Ismail will be produced in the Andheri court today. His son Zaid and two other accused in the case who were arrested have been released on bail since.
The entire incident pertains to the nonpayment of dues to Prashant who had assisted Ismail in a movie being made by the latter. Despite repeated requests, Ismail failed to clear Prashant's dues.
The alleged incident is said to have occurred on Monday night when accused Zaid landed up at Prashant house in Evershine building at Andheri and asked him to come down with him to sort out his payment issue. However, Zaid instead took him to the parking area of his building and thrashed him black and blue using hockey sticks as is evident from the pictures. Two of Zaid's companions also allegedly beat up Prashant.
The accused were booked under Indian Penal Code section 323, 324, 504 and 506 and granted bail today.

The Metropolitan court in Andheri granted Ismail Darbar bail in the assault matter. He was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs. 10,000.
