Israel-Palestine project Water to open 4th Jagran Film Festival

4th Jagran Film Festival
The 4th edition of the Jagran Film Festival will go underway with the screening of Israeli-Palestinian joint production Water on 24 Septemberat Fun Republic, Andheri, Mumbai. This also happens to be the Asian premiere of the film. The 120-minute feature, produced by the Film and Television department of the Tel Aviv University in association with Tu Vas Voir has been filmed in HD, color. Yael Perlov, who initiated the project, also happens to be the artistic director of the movie. Besides being a highly poetic and pastoral subject, Water is also a very political and violent subject with respect to the Israel-Palestine conflict. The film is about two conflicting populations which couldn't overcome the prejudice and political intimidation but ultimately find a platform for a unique collaboration in the form of this feature film. This is one of the reasons why it is so special. The film, a unique piece of art, has earlier been screened at various international film festivals like Venice International Film Festival, Jerusalem Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, Mostra International de Cine de Sa? Paulo, Brazil, Stockholm International Film Festival, Sweden among many others. The movie’s original version is in Arabic, Hebrew and English.
