MUMBAI: 'Bhidu' aka actor Jackie Shroff has been the latest actor to take the legal route by filing a petition in the Delhi HC to protect his personality and publicity rights. According to PTI, there have been many entities that have been using his iconic name bhidu for commercial gain. However, before Jackie, there have been many stars who have taken legal action against many miscreants.
Anil Kapoor
The actor reportedly had been to New Delhi High Court in relation to the illegal use of his name in AI. The court had issued an order against 16 defendants and ordered them to not use Kapoor's name or image for commercial purposes without his permission.
Shruti Haasan
The actress reportedly had taken legal action against D-day producer, according to an ETimes report. This was because the Tamil version of the movie was named Dawood which was misleading.
Amitabh Bachchan
The actor reportedly had been to court after his voice was used in an unauthorised manner. Big B had revealed that his voice was an important part of his identity and revealed that unauthorised use of the same would be a breach of his rights.
Rakul Preet Singh
The actress reportedly had been to Delhi High Court after her name popped in the drugs probe case that NCB had carried out after Sushant Singh Rajput's death.
