Shraddha, Rajkummar's paranormal experience

Stree director Amar Kaushik says actors Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao faced lot of strange experiences while shooting the horror comedy.

During a night shoot, the locals of Chanderi -- a town in Madhya Pradesh -- warned the team about not shooting at a street, which has been abandoned. Due to the tight schedule, the team went ahead, but faced several issues.

Throughout the night, there were a lot of unidentified technical glitches from the focus puller not being able to focus, to lights going off repeatedly to bulbs shattering.

Once dawn arrived, the shoot became very smooth.

"A day prior to our shoot, a few locals came to me and told that the street we had picked up for the shoot was haunted and no one goes there," Kaushik said in a statement to a leading publication.

"Since we had to shoot a night scene, they were particularly worried. However, we went ahead with the shoot as the location perfectly suited our requirements but that particular night we faced a lot of difficulties while shooting," he added.

Presented by Dinesh Vijan and a Maddock Films production in association with D2r films and Jio Studios, Stree will release on 31 August.

Luv Sinha did his own stunts in 'Paltan'

Luv Sinha did his own stunts in war drama Paltan, a film through which he is stepping into Bollywood as an actor.

The son of veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha and brother of actress Sonakshi Sinha is thrilled to be a part of J.P. Dutta's film. While performing some action sequence, Luv did his stunts on his own despite being suggested to go for a stunt double by Dutta himself.

"I feel as an actor it is important to commit to the role fully and push yourself as much as you can, without relying on other methods to enhance your performance. The audience today can pick up on things very quickly so it's always better to train and then do your own stunts in a safe manner," Luv said in a statement to a leading media publication.

The film has been shot in Leh. The place was covered with snow and also had some mountain terrain. Luv had to shoot a chase sequence. He was offered a trained stunt double to do the running but Luv insisted on doing it himself.

Dutta's Paltan will release on 7 September. It is based on the Nathu La and Cho La military clashes of 1967 which took place along the Sikkim border. The film also features Sonu Sood, Siddhanth Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Harshvardhan Rane.

I love that I have been working on this show for the past five years. It's a time I look forward to every year because it's so much fun... This year I believe we have a great looking bunch of contestants and they are all very talented and outgoing. They are so entertaining," she said.

Sunny will be seen co-hosting the show with Rannvijay Singha, who she calls her "Rakhi brother".

We have so much fun together laughing. They really love being around him and he is a great 'little big brother'," she said.
