MUMBAI: Prabhas was last seen in Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire, directed by Prashanth Neel. The movie was a superhit entertainer with lots of action. However, even before the movie was released, Kalki 2898 AD was announced and the audience were full of hopes and expectations as the makers had teased and hinted towards the movie being a futuristic and mythological concept.

On its opening day, the movie made a whopping Rs 95 Cr collection approximately in India net. While this was the collection in India, the movie collected around Rs 180 Cr worldwide.
It's been 20 days since Kalki 2898 AD was released. On day 20, the movie collected around Rs 5.10 Cr India net for all languages. This includes Telugu around Rs 1.4 Cr, Tamil around Rs 0.25 Cr, Hindi around Rs 3.1 Cr, Kannada around Rs 0.05 Cr and Malayalam around Rs 0.3 Cr. Meanwhile the worldwide collection was around Rs 958.2 Cr.
