Although Andhra Pradesh has a cap on ticket prices, the Andhra Pradesh government has now allowed a hike for the tickets for the movie. The government has approved a ticket price increase of Rs 75 for single-screen cinemas and Rs 125 for multiplexes, applicable for two weeks starting from the movie’s release date and for all five daily showings. This decision follows a request from Aswini Dutt, the producer of Kalki 2898 AD, categorized as a ‘Super High Budget Film’.

The movie's trailer, which debuted earlier this month, indicated that Kalki 2898 AD is a futuristic take on the Mahabharat. The story starts in Kaashi, a resource-rich region ruled by the persona of Saswata Chatterjee, who expects total loyalty. He will be overthrown by a child, according to a prophecy, and Deepika Padukone's character is this child.

The king places a bounty on her head to safeguard his kingdom. Famous hunter Bhairava, played by Prabhas, feels it is his destiny to capture her. The goal of Amitabh Bachchan's Ashwatthama is to keep her safe. Fans were thrilled when they saw an intense glimpse of Kamal Haasan at the trailer's end.
