MUMBAI: Kangana Ranaut, who is known for films like Queen and Manikarnika—The Queen of Jhansi, has bashed celebrities for their silence on killing of Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch Ajay Pandita.
The killing of Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch Ajay Pandita in Anantnag has left everyone in shock, and a few celebrities such as Anupam Kher, Ashoke Pandit, Kangana Ranaut have expressed their grief and anger, strongly condemning his death. Congress Sarpanch Ajay Pandita was shot by unidentified terrorists at Lokbawan in Anantnag after which he was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to death. Kangana Ranaut has now bashed Bollywood celebrities for their silence on the killing of Ajay Pandita.

In the video shared by her team on social media, Kangana Ranaut can be seen holding a placard that reads, “I am Hindustani, I am ashamed, #JusticeForAjayPandit, Murdered in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.” She then goes on to slam Bollywood stars for their silence. She said that we have seen film industry’s stars often take such placards, candles, stones, hit the roads to burn the country. However, she said that their support comes only at times when there’s a ‘jihadi agenda’. “Unki ye maanavta tabhi phoot padti hai, jab iske peechhe koi jihadi agenda ho, magar kisi aur ko insaaf dilana ho, toh inke mu se chu tak nahi hoti.”
Further in the video, she urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have Kashmiri Pandits sent back to Kashmir. She also said that they should be given their land and Hinduism should be established once again, and that Ajay Pandita’s sacrifice shouldn’t go in vain.
