Karan Johar playing a cameo in Hasee Toh Phasee

Karan Johar is not new to acting having done films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Main Hoon Na (2004), Home Delivery: Aapko... Ghar Tak, Alag (2006) in the song Sabse Alag among many others. Soon his fans will see him in Bombay Velvet as a villain. Right now, besides shooting for his popular chat show Koffee With Karan (Star World), the producer-director is busy essaying a cameo in his own co-production Hasee Toh Phasee. Said the film’s director Vinil Mathew in a statement, “We needed a slightly snooty character with great comic timing. We could think of no one except Karan for the role. I didn’t have to convince him as he was sporting enough when I told him about it” The film stars Student Of The Year fame Sidharth Malhotra who is pitted opposite Parineeti Chopra in lead roles. The film is expected to hit the theatres on 7 February, 2014.
