MUMBAI: Yet another day and here we present you all the updates from the world of Bollywood.
Angad Bedi misses 'dear friend' Yuvraj Singh
Actor Angad Bedi has revealed that his "best friend" Yuvraj Singh is upset with him for not telling him about his wedding with Neha Dhupia earlier this year.
Angad spoke about this on the third season of Saavn's podcast #NoFilterNeha, in which his wife interviews him.
He said, "My best friend did post an Instagram post very recently on Friendship Day and I read that post. Yuvi's quote was something like, 'Just my take on people and who I thought were friends, after the experience, I would like to say I love my dogs more'... It was something like that. I just thought it was a bit immature. But he is entitled to his opinion, so it's fine."
Angad and Neha surprised the film fraternity, their fans and the media with the announcement of their hush-hush wedding in May. The Anand Karaj ceremony in a Gurudwara in south Delhi was attended by close family members, apart from Ajay Jadeja, Ashish Nehra and Gaurav Kapoor.
In hindsight, Angad said, "It was my fault and I say this very openly that I should've given him more time but then unfortunately for us the decision making was so sudden. He has his reasons to be upset and I really love him but if you want me to say what our relationship is right now, yes, it's not the same and I hope in due course it does get better because I miss him. He is a dear friend of mine."
The episode will go live on Tuesday.

"And it's a wrap for Vikrant Dhawan (Vivek's character). Always have a great time shooting with the incredible team of 'Inside Edge'. A big thank you and lots of love to all of you," Vivek wrote on Twitter while sharing a picture of a cake cutting session from the set.

'Kedarnath' does not intend to hurt anyone's sentiment, say makers
Kedarnath does not intend to hurt anyone's sentiments, the makers of the Bollywood movie said on Monday, just days after a BJP leader demanded a ban on the film accusing it of promoting 'love jihad'.
At the trailer launch of Kedarnath here, producer Ronnie Screwvala and director Abhishek Kapoor defended the film which features Sushant Singh Rajput and marks the Bollywood debut of Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh.
"Firstly till date, nobody has approached us with anything that we can clarify. Secondly, our onus is to get the film censored and certified by the CBFC which is the sole body to decide on the film and thirdly, we all are creative people and we are Indians first. I do not think anyone of us will hurt any sentiment," Screwvala said.
A BJP leader last week wrote a letter to the censor board chief Prasoon Joshi, bringing his attention to the setting of the film -- a tragedy that took place in 2013 at Kedarnath, a Hindu pilgrim centre -- and its narrative wherein a Muslim boy falls in love with a Hindu girl.
Screwvala has urged people to watch the film before making an opinion.
"I think controversy starts on any film before people watch it. I do not know how after just 60 seconds of watching the film (referring to the teaser), somebody forms such an opinion. Let somebody comment after watching the film, and we will be happy to give our feedback," he added.
Kapoor said, "We just released the teaser earlier, and now people can see a little more about the film in the trailer which clearly shows that there are no such things. We have shown a lot of love there in the film.
"When people see a teaser, they at times form their perspectives and opinion on that... But when they will watch the film, they will understand that we never intended to hurt anyone's sentiment."
Sushant and Sara were also present at the launch of the trailer, slated to release on 7 December.

He captioned the image, "Part 1! Brahmastra Christmas 2019, Dharma Movies written and directed by Ayan Mukerji."

This will be the first time Amitabh will be sharing screen space with Ranbir and Alia together. A part of the film has been shot in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Kangana promises special VFX in 'Manikarnika'

The movie has been in the midst of a controversy ever since the news of Kangana stepping in behind the camera to direct patchwork emerged.

Sanjay Khan has 'extraordinary stories' for TV
Veteran actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan, popular for acting in and producing the television series The Sword of Tipu Sultan, says he is planning to make movies, but he also has some extraordinary stories that can be told on the small screen.
It was back in 1989 that a major fire accident took place on the set of The Sword of Tipu Sultan, based on the 18th century Mysore ruler.
After surviving near fatal burns, years later Sanjay produced shows like The Great Maratha and Jai Hanuman.
"The last time I faced the camera was for Tipu Sultan. I have been busy doing other things like building a five-star hotel in Bengaluru. We are planning several motion pictures now. Three or four pictures in the coming months," Sanjay told a publication in a telephonic interview.
What about TV shows?
"TV is making much more money than films these days. TV has a greater reach. I have some extraordinary stories for that. There is one on the British Raj. It's called the Beginning of an Empire.
"I would like to make it as a long series of three or four seasons capturing the long duration of the British Raj in India," said the Haqeeqat actor.
He has historical stories on mind for the big screen as well.
"There is one on a Brigadier, who died fighting for his country and I have another one on the 1965 war. I have always made stories that have a national appeal and are meaningful," said the "Chandi Sona" actress.
Sharing an example, he said, "When I made Jai Hanuman, I got great satisfaction. Hindu ladies said 'We are grateful to you Sir for showing us the childhood of Hanuman'. Even Muslim people loved it. I felt great that I had communicated something."
But what about going beyond mythology and historical genres?
"In the larger packaging of my work, there would be stories of romance, etc.," he said.
He doesn't want to focus just on a love story.
"The value of love between a man and a woman is eroding. All kinds of things are happening. The mood of the world is different so, the best bet is catching historical and social-economic problems, which are perennial. Those are the problems that we can address," said Sanjay.
Talking about the content of films made by young Indian filmmakers, he shared, "I like some of them. Indian cinema is coming-of-age though the music is suffering. The lustre of music is gone.
"The technical quality has come up. Some very good films like Dangal have come out."
He is also interested in the digital medium.
"If there is an offer, subject or big companies come to me then I can talk to them," he said.
At the moment, he is focussing on promoting his new autobiography, The Best Mistakes of My Life, which takes the readers to his world of films, family, his near-death accident and more.
"I am happy that it has come out the way it has. I worked really hard on it. I had gone into my past and relived all those glorious times," said the actor in his 70s.
I'm a newcomer for pan-India audiences: 'KGF' actor Yash
Kannada film actor Yash, who will soon be seen in KGF - Kolar Gold Fields - that will release in five languages including Hindi, says he is quite excited to see how cine-goers across India accept him as a performer because he is a newcomer for a majority of the audiences.
"For a pan-India audience, I am a newcomer and I know that. So far, I have only worked in the Kannada entertainment industry. Though my films are dubbed in Hindi and watched by many people on TV and on online platforms, we never had a Kannada film that was released in theatres in Hindi. So there is a feeling in my mind of being a newcomer to the maximum audience," Yash told a publication.
Having started his career in Kannada television, Yash made his debut in cinema in 2013 with the film Googly and delivered some commercially successful films like Mr and Mrs Ramachari, Gajakesari and Santhu Straight Forward.
Elaborating on the advantage that he gets by acting in a Kannada film, he said, "In the Kannada film industry, when a film is successful, we tend to carry some element, style and dialogue to a new film just to keep our fans stay with the characteristics of an actor that they already loved.
"Since KGF is trying to reach an audience that will be watching my performance for the first time, they won't be having any reference point to understand my talent from my previous works. As an actor, I have to show my strength and power of performance to win the heart of my new audience."
The film will be releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam languages.
While the actor believes KGF will be a great opportunity for the homegrown talent of Karnakata to present their work to the national audience, Yash said, "Our Kannada film industry has no dearth of talent, but we need more exposure.
"That is the sole reason for us to venture into different language release so that we can share our potential to the world. I am confident that the production value and content of our film will surely match up to the global standard."
Set in the 1970s, the story of the film revolves around a young man named Rocky (Yash), who is born on a special day and has a desire to rule the gold mines of Mumbai city.
Asked if the Mumbai backdrop will make the story more relatable for the Bollywood audience, Yash said, "That could be an advantage because in the film we have shown the 70s' era and how the city Mumbai used to look and feel... The colour, people, society... we tried to capture the time frame on-screen.
"Having said that, we did not do that intentionally, but organically. Back in the 1970s, 1980s, people from the southern part used to go to Mumbai to achieve their dreams. There were more job opportunities, business and money. Since the film also revolves around the gold mine, the city plays a role," added the award-winning actor.
He grew up watching Salim-Javed's superhit Bollywood films like Sholay, Deewaar and Don, and says he admires Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.
Interestingly, KGF is releasing on the same day as Shah Rukh's much anticipated Zero on 21 December.
Does he have Bollywood dreams?
"I love watching Bollywood films, especially of Rajkumar Hirani. But I am not exactly desperate to work in Bollywood. I love my acting and given a good script I will work in any film industry."
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film will be released in two parts. The Hindi version of the film will be distributed by Excel Entertainment and AA Films.
