Kareena Kapoor Khan takes a trip down memory lane with a vintage video from Omkara; Says ‘God how I loved playing Dolly’

Kareena uploaded a video clip on Tuesday from her highly acclaimed movie Omkara. The actress spoke about her love and joyful memories of the role of Dolly, which is still one of her most well-known roles.

She posted the video, which was a montage of her sequences from Omkara, on her Instagram stories with the caption, "God how I loved playing Dolly." Omkara also stars Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, and Vivek Oberoi, and is directed by the well-known Vishal Bhardwaj. The context of the story is Uttar Pradesh's political backdrop. When it was released in 2006, the movie was a commercial success. Kareena's role in the movie was praised by the audience.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon starrer Crew opened to a warm response from the masses upon its release on March 29. The film, over its first weekend, performed significantly well and concluded its first weekend in India with a collection of Rs 32.60 crore. However, on its first Monday, the film witnessed a 60 percent drop in its collection, and the downward trend persisted with its earnings further decreasing from Tuesday to Thursday. As per Sacnilk.com, the film minted a total of Rs 3 crore on Day 7 of its release.

Crew, the all-female lead film, directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, has managed to earn Rs 43.75 crore in India till its seventh day. On the other hand, its worldwide collection stands at Rs 82 crore so far. Notably, the film witnessed a smooth landing at the box office with a collection of Rs 62.53 crore worldwide.

As previously mentioned, Kareena Kapoor Khan will co-star with Yash in the film Toxic. Kareena is reportedly set to play the part of Yash's sister. She is said to play a significant role in the movie as well. This is going to be Kareena's first Kannada film, if the news is accurate.

A source told a popular news portal, “It is basically a brother-sister story with Yash and Kareena playing inseparable siblings. The director was keen to have Kareena on board in Toxic from the inception of the project. Negotiations were on. Everyone presumed Kareena was being brought into the project as Yash’s leading lady when in fact Kareena was offered a far more powerful role. She has never been seen like this before.” Shruti Haasan is reportedly in talks to play the lead part in the meanwhile.
