MUMBAI : Kartik Aaryan’s much-anticipated horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, is shattering box-office records despite facing the biggest clash with a multi-starrer film Singham Again which released on the same day. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has crossed the lifetime collections of Tu jhoothi main makkaar and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani within just six days of its release.
The film, which hit theatres on November 1, has grossed an impressive ₹156.65 crore as of its sixth day, surpassing the ₹149.05 crore lifetime earnings of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar and the ₹153.60 crore of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, both of which had a longer run in theatres.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is the third installment of the hit horror-comedy franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa which released in 2007 starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan Now, after 17 years Vidya made her comeback to the franchise reprising her role as Manjulika. Madhuri Dixit has made a new entry to the franchise along with Triptii.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 continues the story of the iconic haunted mansion, blending spine-tingling horror with doses of comedy. Kartik Aaryan’s portrayal of ‘Rooh Baba’, alongside an ensemble cast including Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri along with a talented bunch of supporting cast including Vijay Raaz, Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar has been loved by the audiences. The film's success is seen as a triumph for the Hindi film industry.
