MUMBAI: Ever since, Pyar ka Punchnama’s Rajjo delivered his iconic monologue, Kartik Aaryan has been the country’s favourite ‘dude-bro’ and the ultimate goofy boyfriend for girls. Nine years and nine feature films later, the versatile actor is gearing up for two of his most coveted releases, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2. The sequels to these blockbuster films would have released if it wasn’t for the pandemic induced lockdown but the delay has not stopped him from entertaining his audience through his new talk show, Koki Poochega.
When asked about the pressure of carrying the legacy of Bhool Bhulaiyaa he says, “I feel like there’s already so much expectation, even before the film’s release. That makes my job a lot easier.” He also chats about experiencing FOMO on some of the mind-blowing work new-comers are doing on OTT platforms, “Right now is the best time to be an actor. There are so many amazing opportunities that I often get FOMO for not being able to bag them.”
