Kunal Khemu to turn action hero for T-Series film helmed by Vikram Bhatt

Having begun his Bollywood journey as a child artiste, Kunal Khemu has grown up doing all kinds of roles, albeit those with action. Now, the star has been signed by T-Series to star in an action-oriented film to be directed by Vikram Bhatt. The 29-year-old, who will be playing the lead in the yet untitled action thriller to be produced by T series, signed the film because it has a unique plot. “The film is a thriller but very heavy on action so it's going to be a first for me in many ways. The idea is very unique and new, but still fits into the genre of an action thriller. It's an on-the-run film and is going to be very fast paced," Kunal said in a statement. Bhatt, who has known Kunal since his 1993-film Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke wanted to work with him. The film is slated to go on floor in December or January and the female lead is yet to be cast. "I have admired Kunal right from the time that he was a kid and I was an assistant in Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke. The film that I am planning with him is a very ambitious action film. I have met him a couple of times on a subject and his enthusiasm is addictive! We make a good team," Bhatt said. Meanwhile, Kunal is hurrying to finish shooting of his next project Go Goa Gone so that he can sit and discuss his look in the action film.
