Kiran Rao says that yes it is very much true that we have seen the female directors mostly making female centric movies, but it is an unconscious bias decision which is coming from the filmmakers and which is not at all good, she added we as an industry should come together and change it.

The filmmaker also says that for someone to back a good male centric movie, you need to have a good subject that validates the actor, for example how Farah Khan made the movie Om Shanti Om with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, then only there will be producers to back such movies. The filmmaker also said that slowly she can see the change in the industry and we can expect some good male oriented movies coming from the female directors.
