MUMBAI: Upcoming film Chhapaak is based on the life of acid attack victim Laxmi Agrawal and her journey of attaining justice. It stars Deepika Padukone in the lead role along with Vikrant Massey in a pivotal role and they have been receiving accolades from all across.
This much awaited film has been gathering much attention across the country. Reports state that Laxmi, whose life as an acid attack survivor has inspired Chhapaak, is reportedly not been given proper financial due for the film rights.
The recent reports suggest that Agarwal was paid merely Rs 13 lakh for the film rights and an ill-informed Laxmi happily signed the deal.
Now, Laxmi has taken a stand against these reports and bashed the rumours about the payment for the rights. She took to her Instagram handle and shared a few pictures of media websites and their headlines.
Have a look.
Well, we are glad that is sorted.
