Maarrich actress Seerat Kapoor says, “Every film has a different fate” – Exclusive

MUMBAI :Seerat Kapoor has done many films down South like Run Raja Run, Tiger, Columbus, Raju Gari Gadhi 2, Krishna and His Leela, and more. She recently made her Bollywood debut with Maarrich which starred Tusshar Kapoor as the male lead.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Seerat and spoke to her about the response she has received for Maarrich, the movie not doing well at the box office and more…

What responses are you getting for your performance in Maarrich?

There are so many right now and I wouldn’t want to praise them because it would just be sounding self-obsessed. But, the fans are all over there and in fact there are new audiences who have been writing to me about the layering that they have seen in my character. It’s so amazing because the audience is so intelligent.

The film has an IMDB rating of 9.7, did you expect that?

I didn’t expect that. It’s extremely positive to even anticipate, especially on your debut. But, from the time I have heard about the IMDB rating of the film, it was only further more gratifying. We all know that this is a public platform, and it’s an assurance to the cast and crew that everyone who is watching the film is really enjoying it.

Maarrich has not left a great mark at the box office. Does that feel a bit sad?

First of all for any film I would like to say that a box office is an industry thing, and of course it is directly attached to all the team who has worked on the project. So, to us it does affect at some level. The film is still running and there are still people who are watching the film and writing to us. So, that’s been a very positive sign. It is a great thing to have the box office on your side on day one, but sometimes films pan out differently; every film has a different fate.
