Marjaavaan’s Tara Sutaria says she got a lot of nasty comments for her fashion choices

MUMBAI: Tara Sutaria has become a popular name in Bollywood and enjoys a huge fan following. She made her Bollywood debut alongside star kid Ananya Panday, with Karan Johar’s film Student of the Year 2. Her latest project is Marjaavaan.

Recently, Tara has been the target of online fashion police for her choice of outfits. Be it her sizzling saree on Diwali or her tube top with skirt combo for Marjaavaan promotions, Tara received immensely nasty comments for her dressing style.

In a recent chat with Mid-Day, Tara opened up about the pitfalls of being a star and also spoke about the nasty comments by people. The Marjaavaan star mentioned that sometimes the comments by trolls can be really nasty. However, she mentioned that since she has chosen to be in the public eye, this is a part of life now for Tara. The actress laughed and mentioned that her parents end up reading all the comments on social media and have a good laugh later about it.

Tara said, “I got a lot of nasty comments. People can be hurtful with their remarks. I have chosen to be in the public eye, so it is a part and parcel of my job. My parents read all these comments and have a hearty laugh about it.” Tara even spoke about her tryst with Bollywood and mentioned that the entire showbiz is new to her. The Marjaavan star mentioned that she often feels lost when she is quizzed about insecurities or about competition. But, she also added that this year she has been focussing on work and finding herself.
