MUMBAI: That one element for getting more work in the film industry is to grab success with their existing work. Most actors are based on their success and films at the box office to get more work in the industry. Here is the one Hindi Film industry actress who had no work even after giving back to back hits in her career. Fortunately, the actress managed to bounce back and prove her commitment and ambition towards her career.

Nushrrat Bharuccha made her debut with a small role in a TV drama named Kittie Party. Later she made her debut in the devotional film Jai Santoshi Maa. Her role in Dibakar Banerjee’s Love Sex Aur Dhokha was commendable followed by the even bigger commercial success Pyaar Ka Punchnama. But unfortunately the actress faced a huge downfall as she had got no offers. The actress herself once recalled that she was not getting any films in Hindi or down south. Till Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 rolled out four years later, she did only three films.
Nushrratt had been signed as the lead in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire but was unfortunately replaced by Freida Pinto. The film was a global success, earning over $300 million worldwide and winning several awards. The actress further revealed that she battled depression after losing the film and also not getting good offers during that time and faced a phase of self doubt. In 2019, the Dream girl actress was replaced by Ananya Panday is Dream Girl 2 which hurt her a lot.
In 2018, the director Luv Ranjan cast her in a rom-com titled Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The film was a hit, earning Rs. 150 crore worldwide. Nushrratt followed this up with another huge success that is an even bigger hit with a worldwide gross of Rs 200 crore, and the film is Dream Girl. This is followed by her other movies, Chhorii and Janhit Mein Jaari, which made a huge comeback for her as an actress. Recently, the actress turned 39. She has many upcoming projects, including Chhorii 2.
