Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone shows off her baby bump during late-night dinner with her mom

MUMBAI : On Friday night, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone went out to dinner date with her mother, Ujjala Padukone. The actress is expecting her first child with Ranveer Singh, was seen leaving a classy restaurant while sporting a chic black body-hugging dress tucked under a denim jacket in blue.

In a video that Bollywood paparazzo posted, Deepika can be seen leaving the restaurant with her mother while a crowd of photographers follows her. The actress radiated a pregnant glow while flaunting her baby bump in the form-fitting outfit. "Just looking like a wow!" remarked one user. A second person congratulated the other, “Congratulations, ma’am!”

Deepika Padukone shut down her trolls last week when she appeared to promote her cosmetic brand while flashing her million-dollar smile. Ever since she went out to vote in the Mumbai Lok Sabha elections' fifth phase, Deepika has been the subject of intense scrutiny on social media. She had never before shown off her baby bump in public. Some social media users referred to her bump as "fake."

Deepika appeared to be unfazed by all the trolling around her baby bump and posed happily for the paps at the promotional event of her skincare brand. Amid the ongoing trolling of the actress on social media, a senior journalist, Faye D’Souza, recently penned a strongly-worded post on her official Instagram account and showed her solidarity with Deepika.

In her post, Faye wrote, “Dear social media, Deepika Padukone stepped out to do her democratic duty and vote. She did not ask for your feedback on her body or her pregnancy. You have no right to comment on any aspect of her life. Stop it. Behave.” Alia Bhatt liked the post right away. Soni Razdan, Alia's mother, and her sisters Pooja and Shaheen Bhatt also liked the post.

Deepika is dealing with her pregnancy in the interim. The actress is presently filming Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty. She is going to play a tough police officer in the movie. In addition to this, Deepika will appear in Kalki 2898 AD, a film in which she will appear with Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas.
