MUMBAI: Bollywood celebrities often make headlines for various reasons, they grab the attention of the fans with various reasons, from their high standard of living and lavish lifestyle, to their struggle dealing with illness we have seen it all. 

There are few Bollywood celebrities who found themselves in trouble and landed up in jail, so today let us speak about the Bollywood actors who went to jail for serious crimes. 

1. Fardeen Khan

One of the promising actors back then was actor Fardeen Khan, the actor was in serious trouble in the year 2001 when he was caught with drugs, it was reported that the actor was having a higher quantity of drugs which was beyond the limit of permissible. After the arrest the actor was in jail for five days. 

2. John Abraham

John Abraham is one of the greatest actors we have in Bollywood, as we all know the Dhoom actor is very much fond of bike rides, the time when the actor left for the bike ride and landed up  in jail. The actor was enjoying his bike right that night and he met with an accident with two people who were on cycle, luckily both survived, after this accident actor John Abraham had to serve 15 days of jail. 

3. Monica Bedi

Actress Monica Bedi was one of the most loved actresses in Bollywood, but her name Fame and career was at stake when her name was started to take with the most wanted terrorist Abu Salim, the actress was arrested with Abu Salem from the Portugal airport for having a fake passport. The actress was sent to Jail for 3 years. 

4. Rajpal Yadav

It is very shocking to know that the actor who made us laugh so much in many Bollywood movies, Rajpal Yadav, had also gone to jail. Yadav was given a 10-day imprisonment in 2013 for filing a false affidavit in court. He spent four days in jail from 3 December 2013 until 6 December 2013 after which a division bench of the High Court suspended the sentence on his appeal. He was sentenced to 3 months in civil prison for non repayment of loan which he took in 2010 for his directorial debut by the Delhi High Court on 30 November 2018. He was immediately taken into custody by the Delhi Police. Subsequently, in November 2018, Delhi High Court issued a three month prison sentence. 

5. Sanjay Dutt

As we all know Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt had also gone to jail, we have seen and heard that the actor's name was involved in 93 Bombay blast for illegally keeping guns and ammunition with him. The actor went to jail and served the period of 18 months, later the actor fought to remove the terrorism tag with his name and in the year 2007 finally the decision came, the terrorism Tak was removed but the actor had to serve jailed for three and half years for illegal possession of arms.

6. Salman Khan

How can we forget the blackbuck poaching case which landed the actor in trouble, it was during the shooting of movie Hum Saath Saath the actor was sent to Jail for 3 days, in the year 2017 the actor once again sent to Jail but only for a day and he was out on Bail. Same thing we have seen with the other case which was a hit and run case. The actor was sent to Jail but he was out on bail. 

7. Shiney Ahuja

It was the year 2009 when the actor Shiney Ahuja taken into custody after his maid had put serious rape allegations, after the arrest of the actor he was kept in the jail for the period of 3 months. 

8. Suraj Pancholi

The actor was only 21 years of age when he served the jail for one month, the actor found himself in serious Trouble When his name was linked with the late actress Jiah Khan, but the actress mentioned that  the reason behind her suicide is the actor Sooraj Pancholi.
