MUMBAI: Diwali is a time for many popular film releases, and the Bollywood industry has not let us down in the past. Even this year, we anticipate the release of Thank God and Ram Setu which are expected to be hits in theatres. Sooryavanshi
Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi was released last year in theatres on Diwali. The movie collected Rs. 196 crores at the box office amid the pandemic.
Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari
During Diwali 2020, most of the theatres were shut, and many people were getting tested positive for Covid-19. Amidst the pandemic, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari which stars Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh, and Fatema Sana Shaikh, hit the big screens, and collected Rs. 3.90 crores at the box office.
Housefull 4
Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda starrer Housefull 4 was released in 2019. The film was a super hit at the box office and collected Rs. 194.60 crore.

Thugs of Hindostan
Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s Thugs of Hindostan took a bumper opening at the box office because of the Diwali holiday. But, due to negative reviews and word of mouth, it failed to leave a mark at the box office and collected Rs. 151.19 crore.
Golmaal Again
In 2017, Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again was the Diwali release. The movie minted Rs.205.69 crore and was a super hit at the box office.
This Diwali, Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh starrer Thank God will hit the big screens. It’s a comedy directed by Indra Kumar, and the trailer and songs have grabbed everyone’s attention. The movie will surely attract a family audience as it is a comedy. Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setu will also release this Diwali. The trailer has impressed everyone, and Akshay may finally get a hit this year with Ram Setu.
