Eros International’s upcoming film Raanjhanaa is the talk of the town for several reasons.
One, it marks the Bollywood debut of Dhanush, who made an impression as a singer with his now famous Kolaveri Di. Secondly, fans are eagerly waiting for the second project of Aanand L Rai who made his debut in 2011 with Tanu Weds Manu. Thirdly, the Banarasi touch the film plays the perfect backdrop for a legendary love story and last and the most important is the music of the film that has been composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman.
Raanjhanaa, produced by Krishna Lulla is a love story of a Hindu guy and a Muslim girl and is intense akin to the director’s previous film Tanu Weds Manu. The story of this film is rolled around Zoya (Sonam Kapoor) who completes her schooling and wants to involve a political atmosphere in the university. Dhanush plays the role of Kundan who was childhood friend of Zoya (Sonam Kapoor).
With an estimated budget of around Rs 18 crores, the film is due to hit silver screens on 21 June, 2013.
