Beautiful and gorgeous Neha Dhupia is super excited about her role in the upcoming movie, Maximum. “I play a de-glam housewife (Supriya) married to an encounter specialist cop Pratap (Sonu Sood). Full credit to Kabir for visualizing me for the role; most people prefer to cast me in some other light roles like Julie and Sheesha,” she shared with Tellychakkar.com. Talking about the film she further stated, “It is set in Mumbai during the time of 2003/2008 when encounter cops were assigned to clear the muck of the underworld. Sonu gets involved in all the power politics of the police department with Naseeruddin Shah (Arun Inamdaar) as his opponent. I have shot most of my scenes with Sonu wherein we have shown the emotional angle of a couple in an otherwise action drama. ” Earlier, she had worked with Sonu in Sheesha and Singh is King. “He is a brilliant actor and he gets better with each passing day. Over the years, we have been in touch and he is one of my closet friends in the industry. You require such comfort level if you wish to successfully depict the chemistry of a husband and wife on-screen,” she maintained. Neha is of the opinion that her attitude towards the men in Khaki has changed a lot post -working in Maximum , “I respect them even more but always knew that despite talk of corruption and other things, if we citizens live a safe life, it is because the cops are doing something right.” The actress is quiet hopeful of Maximum’s success when it releases on June 29 (2012). “I have seen the film and till something does not go wrong dramatically, it will be an average plus film. We are never claiming to make make a Rs 60-core film. Even these big budget films double their investments eventually.” Coming to her nine year-long career in films, Neha feels that she has grown as an actress, “My confidence level has increased and now I choose the type of films I want to be a part of. Be it a big film like Action Replayy or a smaller project like Mithya or a good film like Dasvidaniya and Phas Gaye Re Obama.” In the coming days, Neha is doing films with Ranveer Shourie and Emraan Hashmi (Karan Johar’s untitled production). “They are as different as chalk and cheese.” So can we see you kissing the later? “Well, I keep you guessing on that count.” Finally, we asked Neha about her personal life but she remains cagey about talking about the same. “I am single and not ready to mingle.” Upon asking her to describe her ideal guy, she quipped ,“There is no such thing.” However, before we could really push her, we were informed that interview time is over. Neha said, “saved by the clock.”
