MUMBAI: Maine Pyar Kiya is no doubt one of the most loved movies in the Bollywood industry. The movie, which has given us the superstar of Bollywood, Salman Khan, indeed holds the highest recall value till today.

The movie was immensely loved, not only for its beautiful storyline and love story, but also for its great music and characters. Did you know that actor Neil Nitin Mukesh was supposed to be a part of the movie. Yes, you heard right! Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh was supposed to make his acting debut as a child artist with the movie Maine Pyar Kiya, and this was revealed by the filmmaker Sooraj Barjatiya himself.

Recently, Rajshri Productions completed 75 years and in a recent media interaction, filmmaker Sooraj Barjatiya recalled the movie Maine Pyar Kiya, and revealed that there was a portion of Salman Khan’s childhood that was supposed to be shown in the movie, for which actor Neil Nitin Mukesh was approached as the child artist, but his father Nitin Mukesh had denied the offer and said that the actor was too small to step into the movie industry. So that plan was dropped.

Sooraj Barjatiya later adds that he was very happy that Neil Nitin Mukesh collaborated with him later in the movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, along with Salman Khan.
