A couple of days back Bollywood was abuzz with reports of Sushant Singh Rajput having been confirmed to play the lead role in the Hindi remake of Telugu film, Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini'. But looks like the reports were false and baseless if Sushant Singh Rajput is to be believed.
The actor today through his publicist issued a statement clarifying that there is absolutely no iota of truth in it and he will not be starring in any Hindi remakes of South films. The statement also said that Sushant is committed to his projects in hand which include Byomkesh Bakshi Dhoni's biopic, Paani and Homi Adijania's next.
Interestingly, the Telugu film's director, Chandru was quoted confirming Sushant's presence in the film.
"My film's producer L. Sridhar had apparently discussed the story with Sushant, who liked it. Everything now is at the initial stage and it will take time for the project to take off in Hindi. The official confirmation will come from my producer," Chandru had reportedly told media.
Well, with Sushant denying the news himself we now wonder if Chandru used Sushant's name for publicity. After all the Telugu film is yet to release.
