MUMBAI: The whole Raj Kundra case has set the news on fire. People are seen curious to know the details of the same case. Giving the update of the same, the Crime Branch team on Friday raided the Juhu bungalow which is owned by Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra as part of their probe into the controversial porn production and distribution case involving the businessman. As per the police sources, Shilpa Shetty's statement in the case was recorded. Raj Kundra was also taken to his residence while the search was being conducted at the Juhu residency. According to a report, Shilpa Shetty had an argument with her husband Raj Kundra and while giving her statement to the Mumbai Crime Branch, the actress broke down and expressed herself. The actress was reportedly shaken and upset as she recorded her statement which went for nearly long two hours.

 Shilpa Shetty in her statement has denied her name and involvement in the company, claiming she was not aware of the exact content of the controversial HotShots app in question, which was used for the distribution of adult content to various other people. She also mentioned that erotica is different from the porn content, for which her husband has been accused, and that he is not involved in producing porn content.

After Raj Kundra’s police custody was extended, his lawyer, advocate Subhash Jadhav stated that they will move to the Delhi High Court in the matter. Tagging the arrest as illegal, he added, “Raj Kundra’s arrest is illegal. There is not a single video which can be called pornographic. A 4000 page charge sheet has been filed but the police were not even able to point out any sexually explicit act in the video which demonstrated illegality under section 67a. Rest of the section applied are bailable. The Supreme Court had earlier released Munawar Farooqui on the same grounds.” 

According to the media reports, the Mumbai Police told the court that they suspect Raj Kundra was indulged in online betting from the money he earned from pornography, which is why they are keen to investigate transactions between Raj Kundra's Yes bank account and United Bank of Africa account.
