MUMBAI: Parineeti Chopra is overjoyed with the success of her most recent movie, Amar Singh Chamkila. She is now receiving greater offers because of the film, which was directed by Imtiaz Ali, which changed the idea of her among the public and media.

In a discussion with the popular news portal, she also stated how the industry frequently asks married female actors about continuing their careers. After marrying politician Raghav Chadha, Parineeti had to deal with this. However, because of Amar Singh Chamkila's achievement, she feels as though she accomplished this stage.

About the movie's success, Parineeti said that it felt like a lifetime achievement honor for the previous two years of production.

“It is like a lifetime achievement award. You accept that your lifetime was the last two years that you gave to the film. Usually, the lifetime achievement award comes after like 50 years of service, but this one truly feels like that because it feels like a genuine, bonafide, authentic true hit. It is not a PR hit; it is not a fake hit. It has been a film that is actually liked by people. In today’s time it feels better than any other parameters,” she said.

Parineeti also revealed that she was constantly asked if she would continue acting after getting married. She stated, “When you get married, the first question that people ask is if you are going to continue working. This is a very strange and cliched patriarchal mindset. But, of course, I am working and those questions stopped in a few days (of her getting married). There’s always that patriarchal thought that a woman will get married and stop working. I don’t know why that happens. What has work got to do with your marriage? So, anyway, that stopped. I have given my biggest blockbuster hit after my marriage (chuckles). I think people kept quiet after that.”

Amar Singh Chamkila, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, was released on Netflix.
