MUMBAI: Poonam Pandey has landed herself in trouble! The model and actress, who is known for sharing her raunchy photos on social media and even raunchier roles in films, was booked by the Mumbai Police last night. It appears that the actress violated the Coronavirus lockdown rules and was caught red-handed at Mumbai’s Marine Drive, along with her friend Sam Ahamad Bombay, a filmmaker. The duo was taking a drive without any valid reason or permit. They were eventually stopped at one of the nakabandis and a case against the two was registered under sections of the Indian Penal Code.
According to Mumbai Mirror, it is section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and section 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life). And while Poonam Pandey and her friend were let go, later on, her car was confiscated by the Mumbai Police. The report adds that Poonam and Sam were given permission to leave the police station only after thorough investigation and they had travelled all the way from Bandra to Marine Drive.
A police official revealed to ANI, "A case under the National Disaster Management Act has been registered against Poonam Shobnath Pandey at 8 PM by Marine Drive Police Station. Her car has also been seized by the police”
