MUMBAI: Earlier, TellyChakkar had reported about Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame Ishita Raj Sharma bagging her first solo lead in a romantic drama. The film is a debut project of a new production firm called Yashvi films. Now TellyChakkar has got an exclusive piece of information regarding the male lead.
According to a little birdie, the makers have locked popular film actor Prateik Babbar. The good looking actor, who made his debut with the 2008 film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, has been cast opposite Ishita.
In his decade long career, the 31-year-old actor has primarily essayed eccentric characters. However, apparently, this will be the first time when he will be playing a light-hearted role. Babbar has always been appreciated for his nuance performance especially in movies like Dhobi Ghat (2011). He was last seen in Baaghi 2 as the antagonist.
Not much is known about his character graph as of now except that he plays the lead. A source confirms that his character would try to woo Ishita’s character and make her fall in love with him. The hot lad has already started shooting in Mauritius.
The movie is directed by debutant director Owais Khan, a popular name in the AD industry.
