Preity apologises to media; requests not to harass her staff and friends

Preity Zinta
Preity Zinta finally returned to Mumbai after a 10-day long vacation in the US where she had flown off to immediately after lodging police complaint against her ex boyfriend Ness Wadia. While everyone waited with bated anticipation for Preity's return so as to get her views on the matter, the dimpled actress left everyone disappointed as she flatly refused to make any statement about the case. The usually outspoken and expressive actress excused herself while rushing to her car at the airport and even requested the media to not harass her friends or staff for information relating to the case. "Exhausted but happy to finally be back home in Mumbai. I'd like to apologize to the media but it will not be possible for me to make any comments or statements as this investigation is still on. Pls co operate & PLEASE don't call my staff or friends non stop as they have requested me to make this appeal to you all on their behalf. Thank you (sic)," Preity wrote on her facebook page. That is so unlike you, Preity. Had it not been for the media, your case wouldn't have received the wide-spread attention that it commands today. Sources say that Preity is likely to record her elaborate statement with the police at her residence today in the presence of her lawyers. In the meanwhile, Wadia family and their secretaries have been provided with police protection in view of the threat calls received from the underworld.
