MUMBAI: Actress Digangana Suryavanshi who is known for her roles in the south, as well as Bollywood movies, has recently shot an ad film for a leading apparel brand with Akshay Kumar.
What’s really interesting is that the ad attempts to break the age-old concept of the prince always saving the princess, and pushes forward a rather progressive way of thought. Digangana, who has also been given the name of Princess by her fans, is called ‘Rajkumari’ in the ad, who rescues the ‘Rajkumar’ (Akshay Kumar) in a battle. Both Akshay and Digangana are seen in their animated avatars as Digangana is seen riding on a horse, coming to Akshay Kumar’s rescue.
Digangana also shared a picture of her with Akshay from her shoot where they’re seen smiling cheek to cheek. She captioned the picture, ‘My full smile face doing all the talking ! So happy to have worked with you @akshaykumar sir’
She says “I was happy throughout as I was sharing screen space with Akshay sir, he’s very grounded, and I was very comfortable on set”. Digangana will soon be seen in a Bollywood film, that she’ll soon be announcing post the lockdown.
