MUMBAI :Fans of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas have been missing her from the big screens and are waiting to see her in a full fledged Hindi film. The actress who was last seen in The White Tiger, had recently come to India after nearly 3 years from the US. The Dostana actress excitedly also shared a picture of her boarding pass on her social media page, announcing her arrival.
While there were speculations that the actress was in Mumbai to discuss some work projects with filmmakers Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Vishal Bradwaj, she later clarified with a news portal saying, a news portal, “Not for me to act in but I am developing a lot of production stuff for TV shows, which will be local. No, I haven’t met anyone, and I don’t know where these rumors came from. My only purpose for visiting Mumbai this time is Anomaly. I have no other film in the pipeline right now.” She was also here to launch her haircare brand.
Priyanka said in a recent interview that people gave way too much credit to an actor in a film. She mentioned that they have very ‘limited roles’ to play in a film. She said, “This doesn't have to do with just working with the best in the business in the States (US). Even when I was working in Bollywood, working with the best filmmakers taught me how to be the best actor. We give too much credit to actors; actors do nothing by the way. We really don't. I've always said this. Actors do nothing… Those 30 seconds of a scene, is where I come in. And then when I talk about the movie etc. So I have a very limited role.”
Priyanka further continued, “We say out somebody else's words, we are working on a script that is written by someone else, we are lip-syncing and singing songs that are in someone else's voice. We're dancing steps that are choreographed by somebody else. We are doing marketing, where questions are asked by somebody else. We are dressed by somebody, hair and makeup are done by somebody. So what am I doing?”
On the work front, Priyanka will next be seen in the web series Citadel and later in Zoya Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
