MUMBAI : Since The Sky is Pink in 2019, Priyanka Chopra has not acted in a Bollywood movie. The Farhan Akhtar film Jee Le Zaraa was supposed to mark the actress's big-screen comeback; however, it appears that the movie has been postponed.
Although Priyanka's fans in Bollywood are missing her, a recent report suggests that the actress is aiming to collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again on an upcoming project. After nearly ten years, if everything goes according to plan, SLB and Priyanka will collaborate. Earlier they collaborated for Bajirao Mastani.
A source recently told the popular news portal that Priyanka and Bhansali are in talks for an action film. “She knows there is a lot of curiosity around her next Hindi project and wants to finalize a project soon. She is going through several scripts, and meeting several makers to decide on the same. In fact, she is also meeting Sanjay Leela Bhansali for an action project, set in a different period. She has liked the project, and is meeting Bhansali now to decide on the timeline, schedule and costumes,” the source claimed.
“For Priyanka, the trip to India is purely for work. Along with attending the event in Mumbai, she has several things lined up for. She has back to back meetings in different capacities,” the source said, referring to her recent trip to India.
“She also has a production house, and she has decided to put some focus on the same. She is meeting people to finalise three or four of the next projects under her banner,” the insider added.
Bhansali and Priyanka have not yet responded to the report.
Heeramandi, an OTT series, is Bhansali's first project that will be released in the interim. The series stars Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, and Manisha Koirala. However, Priyanka is working on Heads of State and The Bluff by the Russo Brothers.
