MUMBAI: Filming for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is presently going in full swing. The actors are now filming on Josh Maidan and Helipad sets, which are built in Mumbai's Film City. According to a recent popular news portal report, the magnum opus is having legal issues because of a dispute over intellectual property rights with Allu Mantena Media Ventures LLP, which is the primary production house for the film and claims primary rights to Project Ramayana rather than Prime Focus Technologies Limited.

Although it has been confirmed that the legal dispute hasn't slowed down production on the Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi film, the popular news portal has fresh news indicating that the shoot may be going longer than the timetable that was originally agreed upon. However, it is unlikely to affect Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love and War' schedule. The movie also stars Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt and is scheduled to begin shooting in November of this year.

A source told the popular news portal, “Ranbir will continue shooting for Ramayana and begin the prep for Love And War in the second half of August or early September simultaneously. While Alia will get busy with filming YRF’s upcoming spy thriller with Sharvari Wagh, Ranbir will dive into script reading sessions and discussions with Bhansali before beginning its shoot. Bhansali, in fact, will begin Love And War with him as the latter may reach the conclusion of the shoot of the first part of the Ramayana trilogy by November.”

The source adds, “The shoot of Love And War will begin in Mumbai but a set for the same is yet to be constructed. The film will have some elaborate song sequences and for the same, Bhansali is personally still in discussions with his production design team. As for Vicky, when he will join the shoot still remains unclear.”

Regarding Ramayana, producer Namit Malhotra developed a clever technique that involved covering up the sets from all angles and filming indoors to prevent images from being leaked.

"The producers wanted no teasers of the movie to surface before a formal reveal, but in spite of their best efforts—including enforcing a no-phone rule on set—photojournalists were still able to capture shots of Ranbir and Sai's scenes. The insider goes on to say, "To prevent more leaks, curtains have been drawn and security has been increased." The working title of the Ramayana is "God Power."

Ranbir has Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal Park in addition to Ramayana and Love and War which is scheduled to film depending on when Vanga wraps Spirit. Additionally, there have been rumors that Ranbir and Vikrant Massey will work together on Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming film for the first time, however, there has been no official confirmation of this.
