The actor shed 32 kg for the film, and his commitment was admirable. Randeep recently took an inspiring trip down memory lane in an interview, sharing how he used to make money while still a student.
In a recent interview with the popular news portal, Randeep Hooda disclosed that he had driven taxis in Melbourne, Australia, back when he was a student. The actor also recounted his time spent working as a server at a Chinese restaurant to make money, but he said that at the time he was unable to look into the future, and that is still the case today. People around here, according to Randeep, have an attitude that goes, "Whatever happens, we will see," which he also adopts.
He stated, "Back in the 90s, I drove a taxi for three years to make money as a student. I was pretty good at it. Us waqt aisa lagta tha ki koi future hee nahin dikh raha hai. Abhi bhi aisa hee lagta hai. Main darta tab bhi nahin tha aur ab main darta ab hi nahin hoon isliye kyunki main jaat hoon aur hamara yahi attitude hai, ‘Jo hoga dekha jaega.’"
Going further in the interview, Randeep Hooda mentioned, "I knew which routes would get me, passengers, when the night clubs would open and close and at what time people left from offices. This helped me earn more than the rest of the taxi drivers I knew."
Randeep Hooda made his directorial debut with Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, an endeavor for which he had put forth great effort. Speaking on the same subject in an interview with Ranveer Allahabadia, Randeep disclosed that he had to give up all of the Mumbai properties his father had purchased for him to make the movie. The actor went on to say that he had used all of the funds for the movie.
