Keeping up the latest fad of announcing sequels much before the release of the original, Remo D’Souza has gone ahead and announced the sequel of his upcoming directorial venture ABCD – Any Body Can Dance two months prior to the film’s release.
The choreographer turned director feels that he has a lot to tell the world about dance and one film isn’t enough to do so. “Yes, there are plans for ABCD 2. I have been a dancer and choreographer all my life before I turned director and I want to make as many films on dance as possible in this lifetime,” he goes on to reveal. “I will have to work out some cool ideas for the premise of the sequel as I have given my all to ABCD. But one thing is for sure, the sequel will definitely have Prabhudheva in the lead,” he adds.
Remo and Prabhudheva have long been friends; in fact for over 10 years now. It is said that Remo looks up to Prabhu as a guiding light and has been there for him when he needed him. Naturally, the South Indian choreographer cum actor cum director was the ultimate choice for ABCD.
Prabhudheva is undoubtedly one of the best dancers in our country and the love for the art brought him and Remo together.
It seems that the entire dance industry has come together for ABCD, with Shamiak Davar giving away the title he owned and choreographers like Saroj Khan and Ganesh Acharya among others featuring in it.
