MUMBAI: Actor Meezaan Jaaferi who is grabbing the headlines and attention of many for the recently released trailer of his upcoming film 'Hungama 2' on Disney+Hotstar, recently opened up about his relationship status.
When Meezaan was asked about his love life and questioned if he was dating anyone, the 'Malal' actor said, "No, I'm not dating anybody. I'm single."
On being probed further, Meezaan laughed, put his hand on his head and said, "I swear on my own head, am single." "I've said this a lot of times and there have been speculations, articles and comments about this, and the last one I had, I said something else and they wrote something else, and there was quite a lot of hungama already with the things I said, people took it the wrong way, so, I'm not going to delve more in this matter. I'll stay away from it. Enough hungama is done," he mentioned.
When Meezaan was further asked if there was any awkwardness between Navya Naveli Nanda and him due to the media reports that suggested they were having an affair, Meezaan answered while replying in that it's unfair to her as it would be to anyone else too who isn't part of the industry to be subjected to media scrutiny, that there was no awkwardness between the two. "No awkwardness, nothing. It's all good. I don't want to say anything more on this."
Navya and Meezaan who are often seen hanging out with each other, have often been tagged as lovers. Many suspected them to be in a relationship. But Meezaan has maintained and clarified on several occasions that they aren't dating while adding they are just good friends.
Meezaan's upcoming film 'Hungama 2' will release on Disney+Hotstar on July 23. The film, directed by Priyadarshan, also stars Shilpa Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Pranita Subhash among others. His fan following is desperately waiting to watch him on the screen.
