Tolly actress Rituparna Sengupta has bagged the Best Actress award at the Delhi International Film Festival 2015 for essaying the role of ‘Begum Jaan’ in Srijit Mukherji’s ambitious project Rajkahini.
The pretty lady, who played the character with élan, gave the entire credit to her director. In an interview to a daily she said, “I’m thankful to him for casting me as Begum Jaan.”
When Tellychakkar.com asked to share his view on Rituparna’s humble statement, the award winning director quipped, “This is Rituparna’s magnanimity. Ritu has worked really hard. I had even rebuked her sometimes. She has moulded herself completely to step into the shoes of Begum Jaan. So, I would give the credit entirely to her.”
We admire the way both the director and actor are giving credits to each other. This is what we call being humble and having mutual respect for each other.
Srijit Mukherji is currently busy helming his next project Zulfiqar, which also has an ensemble cast like Rajkahini.
