Sad! Rashmika Mandanna was deeply depressed during her initial days in the industry

MUMBAI: Rashmika Mandanna, who has made a name for herself in both the Tamil and Telugu film industries, has sought to impress her fans with many avatars of her. She has been named the National Crush of India. Her recent release Pushpa: The Rise was among the most successful releases post-pandemic. But with her stardom, a lot of trolling has come Rashmika's way. And while she has opened up about how mean stuff hurt her during the initial stages of her career, of late, she has maintained she is immune to it.

Actors always have to find ways to ignore them and focus on positivity. However, did you know that Rashmika once fell into grave depression due to the constant trolls?

Rashmika once opened up on trolls brutally ‘body shaming’ her and how it took a toll on her mental health.

She said, “It hit me like a bloody tsunami. I didn’t see it coming.” Continuing further on it, she said, “To one point, I was body shamed, they were talking about my personality, my character, my family, my school, my upbringing and all of that.”

“I started losing myself into all of these. I started shelving myself…it was bad.” She added. The actress also revealed that this trolling had made her doubt herself as well as the career choice she made.

Meanwhile, on the work front, she will be sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor in director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. In a recent interview with an entertainment portal, Rashmika said that it was a dream-come-true moment for her to have signed Animal.

The Pushpa actress is thrilled to be a part of Animal. In a recent interview with a newspaper, Rashmika said, "I am so thrilled that the announcement is finally out. I had been waiting to tell the world about it, because not only is the story so amazing, but the team I get to work with is amazing as well. It’s like a dream-come-true moment. I’m looking forward to this summer, and honestly can’t wait for the film to go on floors soon.”

Stay tuned for more news from the entertainment industry.
