Salaam Venky actor Vishal Jethwa says, “After Mardaani 2 people started hating me” – Exclusive

MUMBAI: Vishal Jethwa grabbed everyone’s attention in Mardaani 2. The film starred Rani Mukerji in the lead role, and Vishal portrayed the antagonist in the film. The actor’s performance was loved by one and all, and now, he is gearing up for his next film titled Salaam Venky. 

Salaam Venky is directed by Revathy and also stars Kajol in the lead role. The film is based on the book The Last Hurrah by Shrikant Murthy and revolves around a boy name Venkatesh who suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

While in Mardaani 2, Vishal played a negative role, in Salaam Venky he is the protagonist and has a positive role. The trailer of Salaam Venky was released today, and at the event, the actor stated, “It was an opportunity to portray my two different sides. After Mardaani 2 people started hating me and after Salaam Venky, everyone is so sure that people will love me a lot.”

At the event, Vishal also revealed that it was an emotional moment for him as for the first time, he saw a poster featuring him, and for him, it was a great opportunity to share screen space with Kajol, and other actors in the film.

The trailer of Salaam Venky has grabbed everyone’s attention. The movie will deal with the subject of euthanasia. It is slated to hit the big screens on 9th December 2022. 

Salaam Venky also stars Rahul Bose, Rajeev Khandelwal, Aahana Kumra, and Kamal Sadanah. It will mark Kamal’s comeback on the big screens after a long gap. Well, the movie also has a cameo by Aamir Khan.
