With his commanding presence and exceptional acting abilities, Sanjay Dutt offers something special on screen. Because of this, he has also grown to be a favorite among south Indian filmmakers, who think he's ideal for those moments of mass elevation that give viewers the adrenaline rush.

In 1981, Sanjay Dutt made his feature film debut in Rocky, which was co-directed by Raj Khosla, actor Sunil Dutt, and his father, Sunil Dutt. When Sanjay was released on bond after serving a difficult sentence, he made a lot of money in the film industry. During that time, he had some of his best hits with flicks. This demonstrates that despite life's challenges, his labor did in fact keep him going. Let's take a look back at some of Sanjay Dutt's most iconic roles from his greatest movies on his birthday.

Munna Bhai MBBS (Munna Bhai)

The Rajkumar Hirani film from 2003 is a timeless masterpiece. In Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Sanjay Dutt portrayed the endearing Munna Bhai and Arshad Warsi, respectively, as Circuit and Munna Bhai. It was one of the few films released in theaters after 2000 to run for 25 weeks. With this social comedy, Sanjay Dutt gave his admirers a film persona that will endure for centuries.

Agneepath (Kancha Cheena)

With Sanjay Dutt playing Kancha Cheena, the antagonist, and Hrithik Roshan as the protagonist, Karan Johar's reimagining of Agneepath was released in 2012. The role was portrayed by veteran actor Danny Denzongpa in the Mukul Anand film from 1990.

Vaastav (Raghu)

Although Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. is a cult film, many of Sanju Baba's admirers vouch for his performance in Mahesh Manjrekar's 1999 film Vaastav. He portrayed Raghu, also known as Raghunath Namdev Shivalkar, a mill worker's son who owns a pav-bhaji stand. He eventually joins the Mumbai underworld and advances through its ranks.

Khal Nayak (Ballu)

In Khal Nayak, Sanjay Dutt was helmed by Subhash Ghai. His performance in the 1993 film, together with the classic chartbuster "Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai" starring Madhuri Dixit, caused a sensation. Sanjay Dutt's portrayal of Ballu, also known as Balaram Prasad, earned him an Oscar nomination. Additionally, Jackie Shroff and Madhuri Dixit gave outstanding performances in the movie.

The powerful Rocky Bhai in Prashanth Neel's KGF films is portrayed by actor Yash. Neel sought a villain in KGF 2 who will seem intimidating enough to stand in front of Yash's Rocky Bhai. He cast Sanjay Dutt in the role of the villain Adheera, who is just as ruthless as the Viking soldiers. Sanjay Dutt looked amazing, and his presentation and hair looked amazing too. His admirers adored Adheera.

Saajan (Aman)

With his portrayal of Aman, a poet with special needs in the 1991 romantic triangle Saajan, Sanjay Dutt won over hearts. To date, every song written by Nadeem Shravan has become an absolute hit. To complete the love triangle, Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan appeared in the film directed by Lawrence D'Souza. The film was a huge hit.
