Sanjay Dutt has lost 17 kgs...quietly holds a maata ki chowki at home; close friends attend

Sanjay Dutt
Sanjay Dutt is out of jail and back home at his Pali Hill Residence in Mumbai on a 14-day parole. A close friend who met the incarcerated actor says Dutt has lost 17 kgs in jail. Says Dutt’s pal, “He has not looked so fit in years. Sanju is almost looking the way he did when he started his career in Rocky. If this is what jail does for you I suggest all actors spend some time in there. Jokes aside I’d love to see Sanju in an action film right now.” On Monday October 7 Sanjay Dutt and wife Maanyata hosted a Maata Ki Chowki at their residence in Pali Hill. It was attended by the couple’s close friends. The guest list included T Series’ head honcho Bhushan Kumar, Eros’ Sunil and Krushika Lulla, actress Sophie Chowdhary, Bunty Wallia, Apoorva Lakhia and Dutt’s brother-in-law Kumar Gaurav with his wife and children. Says one of the guests at the Maata Ki Chowki, “It was a very intimate prayer meeting. Unlike the other Maata Ki Chowkis at the Dutts’ residence which are held in their home’s compound this time it was held inside their home, so the singing and chanting was ear-splitting.” Apparently Dutt was very quiet. “He spoke a bit to all his guests. But just pleasantries. I wanted to ask him what it was like inside, and how he was coping. But there was no opportunity. I think he’s coping with jail very well. He’ll come out stronger, fitter. And there will be no stopping him.”
