The black and white picture was supposedly clicked at some function or event, as we could see the former couple all decked up with people in the background. Sanjay Dutt looked charming in his signature long tresses, while the late Richa Sharma was sporting a traditional suit with hair open. As for Sanjay and Richa's story, the couple had reportedly first met in 1985. Richa, who was born and brought up in New York, had come to Mumbai to make a career in Bollywood. The duo soon fell in love and tied the knot in 1987. Their love story, however, took a tragic turn when just within two years of their marriage, Richa was diagnosed with a brain tumour. She then flew to the US for her treatment. In 1992, Sharma was declared cancer-free and returned to India.

It was in the year 1993 that Sanjay Dutt filed for divorce, to which the actress was shattered and she jetted back to the US to stay with her parents and daughter Trishala. Unfortunately, Richa passed away in 1996 due to a brain tumour.

Have a look.
