MUMBAI : Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala's film Ishq Vishk was a film that made any Hindi movie lover teenager as well as youth swipe off their feet. Shahid who had made his debut with the movie skyrocketed every girl's expectation of finding a cute guy like him in college, who is clean-shaven, has a shiny complexion and a dimpled smile.
His character Rajiv Mathur was known to have an ego and good looks but when in the film he realises his love for Payal (Amrita Rao), he kills his male ego and makes us realise that good men do exist. Amrita as an innocent lover- Payal Mehra won hearts with her simple- caring nature. She believes in the motto of, "If you love someone set them free. If they come back they are yours, if they don't then they were never yours". When she sees Rajiv with Alisha she does not go on a revenge trip of how Rajiv could give her a kiss on her forehead. She, in fact, accepts the situation and becomes his friend.

Talking of Shenaz, she played Alisha Sahay- the college bombshell every man wants to be with. However, in the end, when she realises that Rajiv never loved her also truly but his feelings were always for Payal, she gives him a goodbye kiss and goes away. Even Raji's BFF Mambo aka Vishal Malhotra forgives Rajiv when he gets a tight slap from his bestie. Mambo has always been Rajiv's truest friend who has shown him the path between right and wrong. Well, the film never had any negative characters which will remind you of your college days and the studs who came and went from your life. Well, it is 2024, college life is done for Gen Z’s and it is the time of Ishq Vishk Rebound.
