Shahid Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Geeta Phogat and others applaud PM Modi’s announcement of Lockdown 4

MUMBAI: Many celebrities including Shahid Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Geeta Phogat and others have supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’ decision. In Modi’s fifth address to the nation following the outbreak of COVID2019, he made a few important announcements. He spoke to the nation at 8pm and announced the Lockdown 4.0 in a new form with new rules and guidelines which will be given before 18th May. PM Modi also declared about a special economic relief package for the nation worth Rs 20 lakh crore, nearly 10 percent of our GDP. Apart from this, PM Modi also pitched for local products and urged Indians to be ‘vocal about local’. He rooted for Atmanirbhar Bharat and spoke about Self Retail India. Shahid Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Geeta Phogat and others have now shared their views after the speech. 

Shahid Kapoor took to Twitter and wrote, “Very powerful and inspiring speech by Shri Narendra Modi ji @PMOIndia #golocal,” while Arjun Rampal tweeted, “Wow 20 lakh Crore!!!!! Now that’s what is the need of the hour and that’s why he’s our leader @PMOIndia@narendramodi great news in these uncertain times. #IndiaFightsCOVID19 #jaihind.” Wrestler Geeta Phogat wrote, “आत्मनिर्भर भारत.” Chetan Bhagat tweeted, “While no details of #Lockdown4 yet, mood at the top is definitely shifting towards the economy. And if that’s how the top thinks, you can be sure soon the bottom shall follow. Bye Lockdowns. Hello economy.”
