MUMBAI: Shantanu Maheshwari is currently starring alongside Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Sai Manjrekar in Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. He believes he has a karmic connection to Ajay Devgn as he received his Khatron Ke Khiladi winner's trophy in 2017 and because Ajay made a brief cameo in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

As Shantanu told the popular news portal, “I feel there is some karmic connection I have with Ajay sir. He was the one to hand me the Khatron Ke Khiladi trophy when I won the show. His presence in Gangubai, and now me playing the younger version of him in Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. I mean kuch toh connection hai!”
Shantanu further shared, “I honestly think that he is one of the few superstars in our industry who has been versatile with his choices of projects. It brings credibility to all his films. I really admire his choice of work. To be associated with him is truly an honor.”
Ajay Devgn and Tabu play the key roles in Neeraj Pandey's film, which also stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Saiee Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari. The movie was originally supposed to be out on July 5, 2025, however, it was subsequently postponed over a month. It will be released in theatres on August 2, 2024.
Maheshwari swiftly transitioned to reality shows such as ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ and ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi ’after his acting debut in 2011 with the daily soap ‘Dil Dosti Dance.’
Then, he made a foray into films with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ in which he featured alongside Alia Bhatt. He is now waiting for the release of Neeraj Pandey's musical romance-drama ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ alongside Ajay Devgn and Tabu in lead roles.
