Shilpa Shetty's hubby Raj Kundra takes a legal action against official sponsors of Super Fight League

Raj Kundra
Billionaire businessman Raj Kundra, who co-owns Super Fight League along with actor-friend Sanjay Dutt, is hopping mad these days. And the reason behind his fury is the money that the sponsors of SFL 1, 2 and 3, Venky’s – the well known poultry product brand - owes Raj which amounts to the tune of Rs 7.5 crore. Raj avers that his league had approached S Balaji Rao, director of Venky’s in January 2012 with a proposal to finance three events, SFL 1, 2 and 3. Balaji allegedly sent his company CEO Girija Mungali to talk to both Sanjay Dutt and Raj Kundra at the former’s house. According to Raj, Balaji who had initially promised to pay Rs 5 crore in cash and the rest in cheques is now denying of having signed any official agreement to sponsor SFL even though the company’s CEO Girija had completed the official procedure on behalf of both parties, confirming Venky’s association with the league. Raj even states that Balaji had also attended the third round of SFL 3 in Delhi. Now, left with no option, Raj has sent a legal notice to Venky’s for defaulting on their promise which was replied to by Balaji. When asked, Raj said, “The future of 250 fighters depends on the money which we get from our sponsors and I am extremely hurt by Bala’s behaviour. He was a good friend but still cheated us and he owes us Rs 7.5 crore.” Balaji Rao remained unavailable for comment.
