MUMBAI: Success only comes with hard work and there is no shortcut to it. A lot of celebrities in the Bollywood and television world have set an example for this.

So many aspiring actors and actresses come to the city of dreams to carve a path for themselves in the entertainment world.

Not everyone is born with a silver spoon and very few are lucky enough to be gifted with one as well.

There are some of the biggest actors and actresses of Bollywood who have faced many hardships to acquire the name and fame in the showbiz world. They have faced many rejections as well. Among them, a few have pretty interesting backstories which also include rejection in reality shows.

So, here is the list of celebrities who were rejected on a reality show.

1. Kapil Sharma

Before becoming a big star, Kapil was an aspiring singer. As per reports, he had auditioned for Indian Idol, but got rejected. While things didn't work in Kapil's favour at that time but today, his name is enough to know about his achievements.

2. Ayushmann Khurrana

The Vicky Donor star stepped into the world of glamour with reality show Roadies which he won. But little did many of Ayushmann’s fans know that he was rejected on Cinestars Ki Khoj during his audition days for acting. Well, now he is a star in his own right.

3. Sanya Malhotra

Dangal actress Sanya has managed to create a name for herself in the film industry. During one of her appearances as a celebrity guest on Dance Deewane 3, she revealed that she auditioned for a dance show before making it big in Bollywood and got rejected by Dharmesh Yelande.

4. Raghu Ram

Raghu is a well-known face in the entertainment industry. But many do not know that once he was outrageously rejected on Indian Idol. Interestingly, Farah Khan was on the judging panel and she cast him in her film ‘Tees Maar Khan’ years later.

5. Rajkummar Rao

The versatile actor had a thing for dancing. So, he auditioned for the famous reality show Boogie Woogie at the age of 16 but got rejected. Thanks to the rejection he landed up in Bollywood.
